The bunk bed can be used as two separate beds for younger children and then put together as a bunk when they're older. Accented with cane, it has a timeless transitional look. Made of solid wood with selected veneers and finished in antique white. Dovetailing and other time-honored craftsmanship techniques join solid woods and veneers to ensure that each piece will gracefully survive the rigors of family life.
This bed features a Hi-Lo Bed Rail Locking System that gives you two height settings for your mattress - Hi to accommodate under-bed storage and pull-out trundle beds, and Lo to convert the bed to a toddler bed - a safety feature - for that time when your child has just outgrown the crib, but not yet ready for a bed of regular height. This bed also features a handy Slat Roll Mattress Support that provides stability and eliminates the need to use a box spring or bunkie board.
